Demo Overview

Manufacturers are increasingly monitoring the use of their products by customers as part of a combined product and services offering. With the IoT, manufacturers can access real-time usage and status data coming directly from sensors and actuators embedded in the equipment. This data can be continuously streamed to an IoT platform in the cloud or on premises (or hybrid) for real-time fault detection and alerting by advanced IoT analytics. Condition monitoring drives improved asset utilization and reduced maintenance costs as well as improved product quality and availability.

Remote Asset Condition Monitoring is understanding the current status of piece of equipment located at a customer or difficult to access location and being able to communicate bi-directional with the piece of equipment. IoT sensors provide the needed data to support this initiative.

Customers seek a cost-effective way to capture operational information and provide it to the organization best placed to support the end customer and protect their equipment from failure.

Key Messages

  • Device Management as a Service for device configuration, firmware update reporting and monitoring.

  • Highly secure and encrypted device communication

  • Highly scalable and flexible deployment infrastructure

  • Streaming analytics enables data to be processed in real time, based on your real-world business rules, configurable in minutes

  • Applications development time is reduced from many months to a few weeks
